Your Tax Dollars at Work
The police in my area have decided, in their infinite wisdom, to bust the myth that going 5 miles over the speed limit means that you're safe. So they've started cracking down on "speeders" that are going 1 mile over the speed limit. I wonder what it would be like if cops actually stopped people who really deserve it, like the idiots who turn directly in front of emergency vehicles (are they trying to cause a T-bone accident?), or the losers who feel the need to share their music with your internal organs (you can listen to any music you want, as long as I don't have to hear it -- that includes vibrations). Pull those people over, and you'll not only fill quotas, but it'd be a nicer world.But that would be too easy...
